Elli Stühler is a words person.

A strategic wordsmith and a word-wise strategist. A bit like ChatGPT in that she’s ready for anything, only easier to prompt, runs on less energy and won’t hallucinate on the job (and that’s a promise).

The story:

Elli Stühler is a writer and editor based in Berlin. Her practice has many tentacles: copywriting and strategy for boutique brands, design and architecture publishing and long-form features and essays.

She’s worked on national ad campaigns and international titles and has held full-time positions at Winkreative, DNCO and gestalten. Vancouver, Toronto, London and now Berlin have all been, at one point, considered home. Her accent and preference for British spelling reflect this.

Elli is the author of two books: Otl Aicher’s Isny and Roberto’s Rio, both published by Place Press. The former is prefaced by Norman Foster and the latter was hailed by the Observer as one of the best architecture books of the year. Since joining the team at gestalten, where she worked from 2019 to 2021, she has co-edited a dozen more books, which have been featured in the New Yorker, Dezeen, Architectural Digest, Arte, Creative Review, Wallpaper* and more.

Nowadays she spends a lot of her time reading and writing fiction. She hopes to share some with you soon.
